Your Local Pest Control Company

We get the panic call at least twice a day: “I just saw a mouse run across my kitchen floor” or “There’s cockroaches in my daughter's bedroom.”

When pests show up, you don't want to wait a week or more for an appointment from  those other guys. You need help now, and we can be there the same day in most areas!

We Handle All of Your Pest Problems

I’m going to be straight with you—pest problems don’t fix themselves. That spider you saw last week? He’s got friends. The mouse droppings in your garage? There’s definitely more than one. And those tiny black ants? They’ve already told their whole colony about the crumbs under your fridge.

At Identify Pest Control, we’ve been the go-to exterminator in Epping, NH, for years. We know the exact spots where termites love old New England homes. We know which neighborhoods get hit hardest by wasps every summer. And we definitely know how to get rid of whatever’s bugging you. When you need an exterminator in Epping, NH, you need someone who shows up fast and actually fixes the problem. That’s us.

Common Pests We Deal With Around the Area

Ants

Ants are sneaky little buggers. You see three on your counter, and by tomorrow there are thirty. By next week? You're dealing with a full highway of them marching from some crack in your foundation straight to your pantry. Epping homes get all kinds—the tiny black ones that love sugar, the big carpenter ants that chew through wood, and those red ones that bite. Each type needs different treatment, and spraying stuff from the hardware store usually just moves them to a different room.

We find where they’re actually coming in. Sometimes it’s a gap around a window. Sometimes it’s where your deck meets the house. Once we seal their entry points and treat the colony, they don't come back. We’ve done this in hundreds of Epping homes, from the old farmhouses on Main Street to the newer developments off Route 125.

Rats

Rats in New Hampshire are bigger than people think. And they're smart—way smarter than mice. If you’ve got rats, you probably heard them before you saw them. They make noise. They chew through wires. They leave droppings the size of raisins. The worst part? One pregnant rat can lead to fifty rats in a few months. We’ve pulled dozens of them out of attics in Epping. The homes near the wooded areas off Prescott Road seem to get hit hardest, but we’ve seen rat problems all over town.

Our rat control service finds how they're getting in (usually gaps where the roof meets the walls), sets professional traps that actually work, and seals up your home so new ones can't get in. We don't just put out poison and leave—that's how you end up with dead rats in your walls that smell for weeks.

Mice

Mice are probably the number one call we get in Epping. Especially when it starts getting cold. They can fit through a hole the size of a dime, and once they're in, they breed like crazy. You might see droppings in your kitchen drawers. You might hear scratching in the walls at night. Some folks don't even know they got mice until they open a box in the basement and find it full of shredded paper and mouse poop.

Here’s what most people get wrong—you can't just catch the ones you see. For every mouse you see, there are probably ten you don't. We do a full inspection of your Epping home, find all their hiding spots, seal entry points, and set up a treatment plan that actually eliminates the whole population. We’ve done this in homes all over Epping, from the Watson Academy area to the properties near the Lamprey River.

Bed Bugs

Bed bugs don't mean your house is dirty. We’ve treated bed bugs in million-dollar homes and budget motels. You can pick them up from hotels, used furniture, and even from sitting on the wrong bus seat.

The bites usually show up in lines on your arms or legs. You might see tiny blood spots on your sheets. And if you actually see the bugs, they look like apple seeds with legs.

Bed bug treatment is intense because these things hide everywhere—in mattress seams, behind baseboards, and inside electrical outlets. We use heat treatment and targeted chemicals that actually kill them and their eggs. Most Epping homes need a couple treatments to completely wipe them out, but we get it done.

Cockroaches

Roaches are gross. There’s no nice way to say it. And if you see one during the day, you’ve got a real problem because roaches usually only come out at night. The German cockroaches are the worst—those small tan ones that breed super fast. We also see the bigger American cockroaches, especially in basements and around drains. Both kinds spread bacteria, trigger allergies, and multiply faster than you can squish them.

Our cockroach control service treats the whole house, not just where you saw them. We get into cracks, behind appliances, and all the places roaches hide during the day. Then we set up prevention so they don't come back. We’ve cleared roach infestations from apartments, single-family homes, and even a few restaurants around Epping.

Termites

Termites scare people, and they should. These things eat wood 24/7, and by the time you notice damage, they’ve probably been munching on your house for months or even years. In Epping, we see termites mostly in older homes, but newer construction isn't safe either. The mud tubes running up your foundation? Those are termite highways. The wood that sounds hollow when you tap it? Already been eaten from the inside.

Termite control isn't something you DIY. We do professional inspections, treat the soil around your foundation, and set up monitoring systems. If you're buying or selling a home in Epping, you definitely want a termite inspection. We’ve saved people thousands by catching infestations early.

Wasps & Hornets

Summer in Epping means hornets and wasps. They build nests under your deck, in your shed, or worse—inside your walls or attic. And unlike bees, these guys can sting you multiple times. We get emergency calls all the time from people who tried to spray a nest themselves and got swarmed. Or folks who didn’t even know they had a nest until someone got stung. The big bald-faced hornets build those basketball-sized paper nests. Yellow jackets nest in the ground and get real aggressive.

Our hornet and wasp removal service handles nests safely, any size, anywhere on your property. We come prepared with the right equipment, and we don't leave until the nests are completely gone. We service all of Epping—from homes near Harvey-Mitchell Memorial Park to the rural properties past Camp Hedding.

Our Family Brings Years of Pest Control Expertise to Every Job

In 2021, we launched Identify Pest Control to combine that deep industry knowledge with a customer-first approach that bigger companies can’t match.

Last summer, we got a call from a lady in downtown Epping who was literally crying on the phone. She had mice running across her kitchen counter while she was making breakfast. Her kids were scared to sleep in their rooms.

She told us she’d tried everything from the hardware store and nothing worked. When we showed up that afternoon, we found the entry points, sealed them up, and had her mouse problem solved within a week.

That’s the kind of stuff we deal with every day, and honestly, it never gets old helping people get their homes back.

Seasonal Pest Issues Around Here

Spring is when everything wakes up. Ants start marching, termites start swarming, and mice that were living in your walls all winter start looking for ways outside. It’s also when we see a lot of wasp queens starting to build nests. Summer is bug season. Mosquitos, flies, wasps—you name it. New Hampshire summers bring out all kinds of pests. It's also when bedbugs are most active because people are traveling more.

Fall is when mice and rats start trying to get inside because it's getting cold. If you're going to do rodent exclusion work, early fall is the time before they find all the warm spots in your house. We get a ton of calls in October and November from folks dealing with mice.

Winter is actually busy for us too. People think bugs go away in winter, but they just move inside where it’s warm. We get a lot of calls about mice, roaches, and spiders in the winter. Those old New England homes have plenty of spots for pests to hide.

Why Call Us for Pest Control?

Been doing this 25 years. We’ve seen weird stuff. Nothing surprises us anymore. We’re local. Not some national chain where you're talking to a call center in Florida. When you call, you're talking to someone who knows the difference between Nashua and North Andover.

"Same day" means same day—not “we’ll try to squeeze you in next week.” If you've got an emergency, we treat it like an emergency. We show up in a regular truck, not a big van with “PEST CONTROL” plastered all over it. Your neighbors don’t need to know your business. Fair pricing. We tell you the cost upfront. No surprises, no upselling services you don’t need.

The service area covers Southern NH (Nashua, Manchester, Salem, Derry, Londonderry, Hudson, Merrimack, and Bedford) and Northeast MA (Lawrence, Lowell, Methuen, Haverhill, Andover, and North Andover).

Most calls we get are from people who tried the DIY stuff from Home Depot and it didn’t work. Or they called someone else who couldn’t come out for a week. By the time they call us, they're frustrated and ready for the problem to just be over.

That’s what we do. We finish the job. You call in the morning with mice, we come that afternoon, and you sleep better that night knowing someone’s actually handling it.

Why DIY Pest Control Usually Doesn’t Work

Look, we get it. You see a bug problem, and you run to the hardware store to grab some spray. We’ve done it ourselves at our own houses before we knew better. But here's why it usually doesn’t work—store-bought products are weak compared to what professionals use. They have to be because anyone can buy them.

Plus, most people don’t know where to spray or how much to use. They just spray where they see the bugs. But bugs don’t live where you see them. They live in the walls, under the house, and in the attic. You have to treat them where they actually are, not just where you spot them walking around.

We had a customer who spent probably $200 on different sprays and traps trying to get rid of carpenter ants. Nothing worked. We came out, found the nest in a tree stump in his yard, treated it properly, and solved the problem. Cost him less than what he spent at the store and actually worked.

Prevention Tips That Actually Work

Keep your kitchen clean.

We know it sounds basic, but most pest problems start in the kitchen. Wipe down counters, don’t leave dirty dishes overnight, and take out the garbage regularly. Bugs are looking for food and water; don’t make it easy for them.

Seal up cracks and gaps around your house.

Mice can fit through tiny holes. Get some caulk and steel wool and seal up any openings you find around pipes, vents, windows, and doors. It’s cheap and it works.

Fix any moisture problems.

Leaky pipes, damp basements, clogged gutters—all that stuff attracts pests. Termites love moisture. So do roaches and silverfish. Keep things dry.

Don’t stack firewood against your house.

Keep it at least 20 feet away. Firewood against your house is like a highway for termites and carpenter ants to get inside.

Trim back trees and bushes that touch your house.

Branches touching your roof are bridges for squirrels, ants, and other pests. Keep everything trimmed back at least a foot.
